POSITION SUMMARY:
Under
the direction of the Coordinating Supervisor of Professional Learning and Leadership, the
Supervisor of Induction and Educator Support is responsible for providing assistance in the
administration, supervision, and coordination of all core
services in the Office of Professional Learning and Leadership, which include
(1) Succession - Develop and support effective teachers and administrators
through training, mentoring and coaching relative to requisite skill sets and
identifying career pathways for key positions (2) Retention - Identify and
cultivate employee talents while providing services to maximize their talents
that can lead to employee advancement (3) Support - Enhance the professional
practice of school leaders and teachers through the development of a wide range
of specialized leadership programs. This position will operate as a conduit to
all of PGCPS as it relates to professional development, support, succession and
retention, as well as evaluation support.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Supervises
and leads in the development and implementation of professional development
opportunities, workshops and seminars for supporting services, teachers,
administrators and other employees;
Collaborates
with internal and external stakeholders;
Assists
the Coordinating Supervisor and departmental staff in the planning, monitoring, sustaining and
evolving Professional Learning and Leadership initiatives;
Collaborates
with the Office of Employee Evaluation to implement and maintain a system-wide
evaluation process;
Provides
training on essential professional learning including but not limited to,
Arbinger, Strengthsfinder, and the Framework for Teaching for all employees;
Provides
program oversight and program management of local, state and federal programs;
Creates
and conducts presentations (face-to-face, webinars, independent, etc.) and
training as requested and required;
Utilizes
proven improvement processes to provide and track metrics related to
Professional Learning and Leadership;
Constructs
budgets that will maximize expenditures and deployment of services;
Collects
and analyzes data to indicate trends, patterns and implications in order to
fulfill Professional Learning and Leadership core services, mission, and
vision;
Participates
in outreach events and trainings on weekends and nights, when requested;
Completes
school-based teacher observations and evaluations on an as needed basis;
Presents
information and provides briefings, when requested, to the Board of Education;
Streamlines
work responsibilities using advanced technology tools such as WorkFront, Google
Suite, and cloud-based project forums;
Uses
reflection to improve one’s leadership impression while exercising professional
responsibility;
Serves as
an example of collaboration while modeling effective leadership; and
Performs
other duties as assigned.

processes and provide effective written and oral communication/feedback.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Master’s Degree from an accredited college or
university in education, professional development, or related field required. Must have a minimum of two years of work with
the Framework for Teaching™, Gallup™ Strengthsfinder, and/or Arbinger™;
previous experience as a building level administrator preferred.
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Advanced Professional Certificate with
Administrator I endorsement required; Framework for Teaching Certification,
Arbinger™ Trainer Certification, and
Gallup™ Strengthsfinder Coaching
Certification preferred.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible
for the overall performance, supervision and evaluation of staff members in the
Office of Professional Learning and Leadership. Program management
oversight/responsibilities specific to the office.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Highly demanding and fast-paced environment; frequently required to work long hours and weekends. Annual leave may be limited during specified timeframes. Local and non-local travel will be required.
