POSITION SUMMARY:
The
incumbent in this position will perform
various operational duties of a treasury, accounting and clerical nature.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Determining
expected cash requirements and/or surplus amounts to invest for the Current
Expense Concentration account;
Initiating
external wires and ACH via SunTrust Online banking software;
Costing,
controlling, and reconciliation of cash journal and investment schedules on a
daily basis;
Assembling
cash receipt vouchers and deposit funds;
Preparing
monthly forecast versus actual report;
Seal and distribute accounts payable
vendor checks. Verify vendor check to remit to addresses and amounts to support
documentation prior to distribution; and
Provide
back-up support for Treasury Clerk I.
QUALIFICATIONS:The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Previous cash management experience and
knowledge of treasury management practices preferred;
Thorough knowledge of clerical accounting
practices;
Ability to maintain and prepare accurate
financial records;
Ability to understand and follow complex oral
and written instructions;
Ability to deal courteously and tactfully with
the public;
Good organizational skills; and
Ability
to conduct tasks with minimum supervision.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma required,
preferably including or supplemented by college level courses in accounting or
banking. Considerable experiencing with clerical work at
the level of Treasury Clerk I, including experience in preparing financial
reports; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which
provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Working knowledge of
Word and Excel. Working knowledge of Oracle ERP functionality is a plus.
