FROM START TO FINISH:
Classes begin promptly at 7:45 a.m. and all students must be in their classroom seats by this time. During arrival enter the parking lot where the loop is located and drop of by the sidewalk. Please be courteous and careful. Students should enter the building through the front doors if coming from the bus and the side door if walking or exiting a car. Students eating breakfast should enter the building and go directly to the cafeteria. Please adhere to the direction to the staff on duty. Any student who arrives after 7:45 a.m. is considered late and must obtain a late pass from our Parent Engagement Assistant in the main lobby.
Office Hours are from 7:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. If you wish to speak with your child's teacher, please call the school and leave a message. The teacher will respond within 48 hours. Also please email the teacher and he or she will respond within a 48 hour period.
GETTING TO JAMES MCHENRY:
Exit the Beltway at route 450 East (Lanham) Exit. Continue on route 450 to Whitfield Chapel Road. Turn right onto Whitfield Chapel Road. At the first light, turn left onto Alcona St. At the first stop sign, turn left onto Duchaine Dr. At the first stop sign turn right onto McHenry Lane. Take an immediate right into the school driveway. Follow into the school parking lot.
