POSITION SUMMARY:Under the direction of the Director of Specialty Programs and The Arts, the Technical Resource Analyst, maintains datasets/databases for the collection, analysis and dissemination of student/instructional data to reflect the work of the department and improve program effectiveness.  The Technical Resource Analyst supports the application process for specialty programs and the audition process for middle school Creative Performing Arts (CPA) and high school Visual Performing Arts (VPA) Specialty Programs. The Technical Resource Analyst collaborates with various departments regarding grants, special projects, and student progress monitoring.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitors and collects data for each office in the department based on current trends, yearly goals, and program evaluations;

Manages and displays data for multiple stakeholders; and  keeps data dashboard up-to-date with current data;

Creates data reports for all grants in the department;

Collects, analyzes, and reports data about the arts specialty programs including enrollment, testing, scholarships, and student progress;

Supports each office within the department in the development of surveys and evaluations in order to obtain accurate data;

Supports the specialty programs application process and auditions, where appropriate, by working with platform representative, supports families with the application, updates the informational web site, sets up auditions, and sends out notifications;

Supports the Arts Integration Office with the monitoring of the Arts Integration Master Teacher (AIMT) program for teacher growth; and

Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Thorough knowledge and use of the best practices, tools, and methods for data collection and analysis;

Highly organized to quickly access information as needed;

Knowledge of systemic, divisional, and departmental strategic plans;

Must be skilled in the use of various systemic approved technology tools including Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Oracle, Scribsoft, SchoolMax/APEX, School Messenger, Canvas, Flip Grid, CANVA, etc.;

Knowledge of the art forms that are a part of the department and Arts Integration is preferred;

Possesses excellent writing, project management, computer and technology skills necessary for producing comprehensive reports and making presentations;

Must be able to efficiently monitor the grant progress;

Must possess strong human relations skills, including clear customer service, written, and oral communication abilities; and

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a complex, demanding, fast paced work environment.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Management Systems, or related field required.  A minimum of three (3) years satisfactory experience with database/dataset creation and management.  In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, completion of high school or GED, supplemented by college-level coursework in data analysis and/or descriptive statistics may be considered.
