Our Mission
The mission of the ESOL program is to prepare ELLs to effectively use English language skills and academic strategies to participate confidently and successfully as productive citizens in the school community and beyond.
Areas of Responsibility
The English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) program provides the English language instruction required of local educational agencies for English Language Learners (ELLs) in kindergarten through grade 12. Students, who are determined to be in sufficient need through language proficiency testing, receive language support from a certified teacher who has extensive knowledge of second language acquisition using effective strategies for meeting their needs.

Overview of English Language Proficiency Testing
Title III
Title III of the Every Student Succeeds Act requires that English Learners (ELs) attain English proficiency, develop high levels of academic attainment in English, and meet the same challenging state academic content and student academic achievement standards as all children are expected to meet. Our district uses Title III funding to provide supplementary materials for English language instruction, professional development for ESOL and content area teachers and to develop language focused curricular resources to support English Learners.
Highlighted Programs
